Our Cookstown branch has been a prominent fixture in the community since Kevin Smith Opticians was established in 1965. In 2002, Mackey Opticians joined forces with Kevin Smith Opticians, and in 2004, we welcomed McCrystals Opticians into the family. This exciting merger brought together two well-established practices, creating a stronger and more comprehensive service for the Cookstown community.
Located on the "Longest Main Street in Ireland," the branch has a rich history, within the local community, dating back to its inception in 1965.
The branch is staffed by a dedicated team of experienced professionals, including Optometrists Geraldine and Michelle, and Optical Assistants Therese and Nicola. The team has a collective experience spanning decades. Geraldine and Therese joined Mackey Opticians at our Holywood Arches branch in 2000. Interestingly, Geraldine's father was having an eye exam with Kevin Smith Opticians when she was born, little did he know his new-born daughter would one day take over from Kevin.
Cookstown offers a range of specialized services, including night lenses, exclusive stockist status for Tom Ford and Gucci eyewear in Cookstown, as well as audiology services.
Our commitment to the community extends beyond eye care. We are proud sponsors of the Mid Ulster Ladies soccer team in the Foyle Cup.
